iQspot, winner of the i-Nov innovation competition

iQspot is one of the winners of the i-Nov innovation competition for the 10th wave operated by BPI France in collaboration with ADEME. We were selected for our R&D project PEPIT in the Sustainable Building – Building Energy Efficiency category.

But what is the i-Nov competition?

This is a support mechanism within the framework of the France 2030 plan financed by the State which allows the selection of innovative projects with significant potential for the French economy.

This competition is aimed at startups and SMEs with innovative projects.

This excellence competition allows for the partial financing of research, development and innovation projects.

Candidates must register their project in one of the following categories:

  • Digital,
  • Health,
  • Transport, mobility, sustainable cities and buildings,
  • Energy, resources and natural environments.

Our PEPIT R&D project

Our R&D project falls under the Sustainable Building – Building Energy Efficiency category.

It is based on 3 technical innovations:

  • Occupancy assessment,
  • Remote control,
  • Automation of control.

Occupancy assessment will provide a better understanding of buildings and their operation and thus provide ever more precise and relevant adjustment advice.

Remote control will allow direct action on HVAC equipment to adjust it. Initially, our teams will take care of this adjustment.

Automation of control will come in a third phase to automate the adjustments previously made by our teams

The expected results of our R&D project

These technical innovations would make it possible to achieve 8% additional energy savings on our existing solution thanks to an advanced understanding of the building. Indeed, more precise and real-time detection of occupancy makes it possible to go further in the possible savings. Automation, for its part, will allow systematic and faster actions.

Thus, iQspot will make it possible to have even more impact on tertiary buildings and will participate even more in the decarbonization of the sector.

This R&D project is major in the future of iQspot and we are very proud to be supported by the government in our approach.

Thank you for believing in our project.
