iQspot, awarded the “Solar Impulse Efficient Solution” label

At the end of 2020, the iQspot solution was awarded the prestigious “Solar Impulse Efficient Solution” label.
A guarantee of its sustainability and profitability, assessed by independent experts. But it’s also international recognition of its quality and environmental focus.
It is now one of the #1000solutions supported by the Bertrand Piccard Foundation.

At iQspot, we’re very pleased and proud of this award. It requires us to go through a rigorous selection process, carried out by independent experts. The assessors studied our solution in depth, looking at 5 main areas, with the aim of assessing its performance and viability:

  • Technical
  • Environmental
  • And socio-economic.

It’s a fine accolade, reflecting years of R&D and the deployment of the solution on 1 million sqm of real estate assets. It also highlights the impressive results achieved: a 10-20% reduction in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from the very first weeks of use.

What was rewarded?

For the past 3 years, iQspot has been offering asset management companies and property managers the opportunity to collect energy data from their buildings automatically and in real time. The ultimate aim is to provide comprehensive, detailed information on a building’s energy consumption, to help reduce it.
To achieve this, low-energy sensors are installed on the meters (electricity, gas, water, heating/cooling networks, etc.). These non-invasive, wireless sensors collect data continuously. The algorithms then analyse the data to better control activity within the buildings themselves. They immediately alert managers to any drift or anomaly in consumption. To sum up, iQspot :

  • Automatically detects unusual behaviour
  • Provides a strong incentive to take action
  • And also enables the impact of improvement work or actions to be measured.

To date, iQspot is the only player in France to offer comprehensive real-time monitoring of all fluids.
The “Solar Impulse Efficient Solution” label now certifies that it does so with a positive energy, carbon and economic balance.

The iQspot solution has joined the #1000Solutions Challenge. This is an initiative by the Solar Impulse Foundation to convince political and economic decision-makers to set more ambitious energy policies and environmental targets.

The 1,000 labelled solutions are part of the #1000Solutions portfolio, which will be presented to corporate and government decision-makers by Bertrand Piccard, President of the Solar Impulse Foundation.

At the end of December 2020, the portfolio will comprise 897 solutions.
